Thursday Industry Nights is the best time to go to Pineapple Grill! From 5:30-close, they offer 50% off pupus and drink specials at the bar. The pork and mushroom spring rolls are super yummy and only $5 during happy hour!
And since it's called Pineapple Grill, I had to get a few items with pineapple in them. I loved their pineapple mojito, and their pineapple upside down cake was absolutely divine.
Located at Kapalua Resort, you'll get awesome views of the sprawling golf course from both the lanai and main dining room area. You can also see the ocean, but I missed the sunset.Recommended for:

The seared ahi was incredible, with the pistachio crust on the outside. The macademia crusted mahi mahi on top of rice was also amazing. However, the best dish was the upside down pineapple cake with massive macademia nut ice cream on top. YUM! The service was good. The restaurant is a little difficult to find though, as you have to curve through small streets past a country club.

I'm personally not wired for golf courses and the sterile environment at Kapalua. But, we were up there snorkeling and needed a lunch place. Honestly the food and drinks were quite good. If you're in the area, this is the stop for you. My burger was cooked perfectly, and the blackened fish sandwich about which she raved. We also ordered a passion fruit margarita that was excellent (I wish I had had one). It definitely exceeded expectations and I'd go back if I were nearby again.Recommended for:

I would highly recommend both of the items I ordered the first time I ate here, which is the seared Ahi steak (amazingly thick, perfectly seared and incredibly fresh) and also the spectacular pineapple upside down cake with macadamia ice cream. This was the best meal I've had on Maui.Recommended for:

With a large, fun menu, lovely golf course views, and excellent customer service, Pineapple Grill hit the mark every time with me. During our two week stay, we ate here about 4 times and everything was great. Our first night in Maui, we simply walked over here for a pleasant dinner on the patio. Everyone had drinks and made meals of the apps and bar foods menu. I tried the "19th Hole Martini"- the classic martini, shaken not stirred, with grey goose vodka finished with a savory blue cheese stuffed olive. I love a good martini, especially if it is "lightly dirty". For dinner, I tried the Steamed Manila Clams, served with macadamia nut pesto crostini, and a Shanghai black bean and truffle broth. That broth was so unusual but absolutely delicious.
Over the course of the other meals here, I was never let down by the food quality, the stiff drinks, or the friendly, chatty servers. Try the delicious Triple Bogey Bloody Mary- Smirnoff vodka and their own triple secret bloody mary mix, topped with a marinated asparagus spear and a spanish olive. The Maui Sunshine is sweet and refreshing: a mixture of sparkling wine, cointreau, orange and pomegranate juices. One night, I had the daily seafood special, which I believe was grilled Mahi on a crostini, topped with a tomato jam, and served with clams, bok choy, and a miso cream sauce. Excellent. Last of all, I tried the Captain Crosier's Seafood Bouillabaisse: sauteed local hawaiian catch, keahole maine lobster, kaua'i head on prawns, manila clams, kula tomatoes, saffron-sherry broth, grilled macadamia nut pesto crostini, and herb aioli. Very tasty, although I think the other seafood dishes I had here were a tiny bit better.
We also tried out breakfast here. I had the Paniolo Breakfast:
two free range organic eggs, home fried potatoes, Portuguese sausage, and homemade biscuits with PG's pineapple, strawberry, guava jam. Mostly, I WANTED that jam- I LOVE GUAVA! The whole breakfast was delicious and filling though. At this point, we were quickly recognized by our server Hugo, who was the nicest guy. He even gave me a little extra jam in a container when I packed up my leftovers.
Pineapple Grill is such a great establishment, which really embodies the "Aloha spirit". I highly recommend trying the place out for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, and keep in mind that they have an awesome happy hour!

The Pineapple Grill is very popular with a number of Honokeana Cove guests. Their Sunset Menu before 6 pm is a good value. They also have specials various nights of the week, such as King Crab night or Prime Rib night. Don’t miss the ahi-salmon-avocado tartare and calamari appetizers, or the blue cheese mashed potatoes. Art likes their rib eye steak. Reservations recommended.

This long-term upper west side staple offers a wide variety of delectable tastes inspired by Pacific, Asian and American flavors. Nestled atop the sprawling golf course of Kapalua, this gem of an establishment serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week to appeal to anybody who wishes to experience Chef Issac Bancaco's beautiful interpretation of tastes & artistic plating. This dining experience is a highlight of West Maui's dining scene and is not to be missed on a visit to the island.
