Pioneer Square is an old historic square, surrounded by cool clothing boutiques, restaurants, and bars. The square is notable for the late 19th century architecture style buildings.Recommended for:Art & Design Lovers

I love any place that is historical. One of the oldest, if not the oldest, part of Seattle, pioneer square is full of brick buildings! If you find yourself here, do the underground tour. You'll then appreciate the area even more!

Pioneer square is a beautiful place to go, especially if you're just wanting to chill outdoors in the daytime. Statues of Chief Sealth, brick walkways, wrought iron, benches, another good place to go if you decide you want to do a Dutch Lunch kind of thing away from the crowds. However, all this applies to DAYTIME only. At night, there can be a different theme to Pioneer Square. One that isn't necessarily the best for tourists or greenhorns.

I took a trip to downtown Seattle on one of my layovers. A friend had suggested to visit Pioneer Square, so I did. There wasn't all that much going on during the day time, I think I might be more of a night time spot.

Known as Seattle's “first neighborhood", Pioneer Square is pure style, it's like going back in time.
From art galleries to bars, furniture stores and restaurants, you will find here several cute small places to check out.
They also host the 1st Thursday Day Art walk, a famous event for art lovers.
