Not as cheap an option as say camping (or the Travelodge or Super8 down the road). But if you are coming to town for a night and want to get down at Pappy and Harriet's, then you really can't do better. It's stumbling distance from the dance floor and quite charming in an Old West sort of way. The ranch style spread features eclectic western decor and a cozy front porch running that runs out front of the rooms, as well as funky outdoor furniture nestled into various corners around the property providing ample options for hanging outdoors. Rooms are simple and clean. They do the job just fine. But really, the reason to stay here is to enjoy the ambiance. Get to know your neighbors, chat it up with some of the odd folk who live in town, head over to Pappy and Harriet's for dinner and a show, watch the sunset from the old caboose rusting out in the desert and if skies are clear, settle in to a lounge chair late night for a starscape of epic quality. There's a reason so many regulars find their way back.Recommended for:Adventure Travelers

Located in PIoneertown, a movie set that was built in 1940s for the production of western films. This motel isn't fancy, but it is cheesy. And it's cheap. So if you haven't seen this tourist attraction it i swell worth a visit. And it is about 30 minutes from Palm Springs.
