Beautiful building with gorgeous views of Portland to check out. You can drive up or hike on the Wildwood Trail to visit the mansion. I've read that it's haunted... It costs $9.50 for adults to get in and they decorate the place during the holidays.

Amazing views from here; and tons of history about one of the most influential families in Oregon.

This historical Mansion in Portland is fun to take a walk through and see how inventive some of the things in the house were well before their time.

I didn't get to tour the interior of the mansion as I arrived past open hours, however, I enjoyed the view of Portland from the surrounding public park. The grassy areas seemed like a good picnic spot, too. Visiting the park should be on a "what to do for free in Portland" list. Free, ample parking, plus it was free to roam the grounds outside the mansion.

Beautiful old home built by a pioneer businessman in Portland. The views are outstanding. On a really clear day you can see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, and if really lucky, Mt. Ranier.

Good pitstop on the way to the rose garden and Japanese gardens. A lot of Oregonians pride themselves in coming and learning about Pittock because he did so much for Oregon. You can skip going in the mansion and go to the souvenir store to look at pictures of the inside. What is really nice is you can go to the backyard of this mansion and theres a view of Portland worth checking out!

Henry Pittock was not the founder of the Oregonian newspaper. Get your facts right!
