Chef Jose Pizarro's tapas restaurant on Bermondsey Street. I quite like the intimate and casual setting of the restaurant. The food is very authentic Spanish. I have been a big fan of sweetbread, so I jumped at it when I saw it on the menu. It was quite deliciously satayed in a savory sauce. It was a bit on the gamey side. The Iberico Pork cooked medium rare with parsnip and gram cracker crumb was superb. The pork is super flavorful and this is probably the only type of pork that can be cooked medium rare. I didn't try the dessert, as I didn't find anything exciting.

Ever since Spanish chef José Pizarro first opened his tapas bar nearby he's been drawing in the fans. Now he's taken over the previously drab and deservedly shut Bermondsey Kitchen and is shining in the light he deserves. Fantastic, if a little pricey, wine list to accompany, including perhaps the broadest range of cavas I've seen anywhere in London.
