A must visit if you're in Chicago. Most people haven't tried authentic deep dish Chicago style pizza and this is the place to experience that. It's always crowded so expect a wait.

Chicago is best known for its deep dish pizza, so when a local told me I should have a traditional pizza for my first dinner here, I dutifully listened. Pizzeria Uno is one of the best in town which is easily confirmed by the never-ending lines. You basically wait on line to put yourself on the list while simultaneously ordering, for it can take up to an hour to get your pizza. Mine took more than an hour ... Not sure if I would wait again for this long, but it's definitely a tasty one.Recommended for:

The home of the original, or a copy of the original, Chicago deep dish. This is definitely a destination where you have to go if you are a fan of foodie history. Unfortunately their success has spawned the mass produced Uno's Chicago Grill which can be found in every strip mall in America.Recommended for:

One of Chicago's more famous pizzeria's and one of the oldest places to serve deep dish style pizzas. While it has plenty of history, the quality of pizza here doesn't compare to Lou Malnati's or Giordano'sRecommended for:

This is my favorite Chicago style pizza, but this place is often crowded with tourists even during the brutal winter. Pizzeria Due a block north is the same restaurant but less well known.
