Forty-two people lost their lives in the bombing, half of them children, after trying to take ...

This is a museum of a great number of Picasso's works. It focuses on telling the story of Picasso's life, which can be seen through the evolution of his work. Even if you are not a huge art buff, it's still interesting and worth seeing.

Definitely a highlight during my stay in Barcelona. I love getting lost in endless small alleys and street corners. It's the best way of finding new, exciting and beautiful places you never could have found on google. Often there are hidden treasures if you give yourself some time to stroll around. I've found countless unique chapels, local food markets and ...

This is the lifeline of Barcelona! It runs from the Port Olympic / Christopher Columbus Statue all the way deep into the heart of the commercial and residential area of the city. Walking the entire length of it is a feat, but one that will be sure to entertain. In the lower portion of the Ramblas the experience is much ...

Incredible structure. The tower was unfortunately under construction when I visited, but I loved exploring the cathedral anyway. The women at the door would not permit my sister and I inside until we purchased scarves to cover our cleavage - not unexpected in Europe.

We walked through this square several times on our wanders around the city and it usually had a musician or two and a really laid back feel about it. Beautiful old walls surround you and everything nearby is awesome.

It's too obvious, wich doesn't mean it's not worth it. Stroll down the charming yet creepy alleys of the Barrio Gotico just for the sake of it. Good Picasso Museum, beautiful churches, etc.

I wouldn't go out of my way to get here. If you spot one of their locations, it is fun to check out - especially if you have a sweet tooth. Scoop up different candies and place them in pill bottles or cases. You can pick from a variety of labels in Castellano, Catalan, or English on what your "pills" ...

I'd never heard of Desigual before visiting Barcelona, but when I got back to New York, it was all of the sudden all over the place. I got a really cute bag for a nice price at the Barcelona store. The clothing is really cool, but not really made for curvier types.

A must see if you are in Barcelona. The Monastery contains and protects "La Moreneta", named also the Black Virgin of Montserrat and her sanctuary. Don't forget to bring or wear hiking shoes. They have a very nice trail going up on the top of the mountain, and see the great view of town below.

Such a great bar! I've never been the biggest grunge fan, but this bar is more than just skateboards and grunge. It's a place where tourists can feel like locals. Everyone is nice, they have an awesome happy hour starting at 19:00, 1€ per beer! The decor is weird and awesome. And they give you free popcorn with your drinks. ...

On Sunday mornings there is a Painter's Market in Placa de Sant Josep Oriol. The tiny plaza fills with local artists selling their beautiful paintings. The artists are friendly and willing to talk about their art and their inspiration. You can find a wonderful painting to take home as a one of a kind souvenir.
