Plaça de Sant Josep Oriol is a hub of artists with several markets held in the square. On Saturday mornings you can enjoy a coffee on a terrace, and admire the artists working on their creations and the impressive Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi in the background. The square is home to beautiful boutiques and tasty tapas, and worth a visit day or night. Close to La Rambla, La Boqueria market and Barcelona Cathedral.Recommended for:

On Sunday mornings there is a Painter's Market in Placa de Sant Josep Oriol. The tiny plaza fills with local artists selling their beautiful paintings. The artists are friendly and willing to talk about their art and their inspiration. You can find a wonderful painting to take home as a one of a kind souvenir.
