I can't help but photograph this beach a dozen times over as I was able to view it from early morning at sunrise and at night simply because it overlooks the balcony of my hotel room! The picturesque view is simply amazing! Clear waters and clean surroundings. It was just too cold when we visited and lacked time but it sure was tempting to try the waters :)

La Concha Beach is arguably the most classic, the most photographed, and the most visited one in Spain. It's one and a half kilometres of wide and white crescent of sand with an elegant, urbane style to it. It grew under the stewardship of various European Royalty and is sometimes referred to as the Pearl of the Cantabrian Sea.

Gayle and I took several strolls along Playa de la Concha and enjoyed the tranquility, the scenery, the families and babies, the turn-of-the-century houses along the promenade, and the pleasant lack of commercialism. Our Hotel was a mere block from the Beach and with a partial view. This was one of the romantic highlights of our trip. It was also easy to walk onwards towards Old Town, Monte Urgull, El Muelle, Monte Igueldo, and other parts of San Sebastian.

Of San Sebastian's two beaches, Playa de la Concha is the more tranquil. The broad shell-shaped coast line is ideal for sunbathing and for families with children. There are a few bars and restaurants at the edge of the beach that take in the view.

I love beaches and this beach reminds me of Hawaii! The clear, green, and blue waters, gentle lulls of the ocean, and soft sands. It's a gathering place for everyone to enjoy. There are activities like paddle boarding, kids learning to swim, volleyball, and everything fun in the sun. Take a stroll on the beach, walk along the street and admire the beautiful architecture of the houses, or check out the Miramar Palace and gardens. It's a beautiful place to see and enjoy.

when i now think of my favorite beach, Playa de la Concha always comes to mind. It's a resortlike beach and families and couples litter the sandy shores in the summer. It's tranquil and romantic. You see little sailboats bobbing up and down and the sun sets forever.

An amazing little beach that is perfect for running in the morning, laying out in the early afternoon, playing in the water all day, and taking a walk along the shore in the evening. I love this place so much! I could live here forever and be happy!

The main beach in San Sebastian is the Playa de la Concha. It's beautiful and right in the city.

Description

The more tranquil of San Sebastian's two beaches, Playa de la Concha is also one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in all of Spain. Take a walk along the more than mile-long curve of white sand, enjoying the simple pleasure of a pristine beach that has remained untainted by commercialism and overcrowding. A favorite for local families, Playa de la Concha is a short walk from the urbane heart of old San Sebastian, and hotels are available just steps from the sand. Stop by at one of the bars or restaurants that allow you to soak up the view.
