Plunge Rooftop at Hotel Gansevoort

18 9th Avenue, New York, NY
8 reviews

This rooftop bar has both indoors and outdoors sections, rooms for lounging and a room for club style dance floor. It is a trendy and cool crowd visiting the meatpacking district. Particularly great for a summer visit with a view of NY roof tops.

After Sex and the City this place is really famous. It is a nice restaurant perfect for lunch time at outside tables if the weather allows it. It is French Bistro like style and food is a mix of French and American cuisine. The passage is interesting to observe.

    Buddakan NY

0.16 mi from Plunge Rooftop at Hotel Gansevoort

I first discovered this theatrical majestic restaurant, thanks to On Location Tours featuring Sex and the City hotspots. Fans of the TV show, and the 2 movies, may recognize the grand staircase from the first movie where Carrie and Big celebrate their rehearsal dinner. The decor is surreal, with countless lounges and nooks for elegant dining, exuding a Hollywood feel. ...

Amazing dining experience! The restaurant is so authentically decorated, split on two levels, filled with beautiful dark wood, plush seating, and pops of color (orange, blue, red, purple). My friend and I were seated almost immediately...we had a reservation and they checked our identities as if we were entering Fort Knox. Once seated, we were greeted by our server, wearing ...

    Corner Bistro

0.17 mi from Plunge Rooftop at Hotel Gansevoort

Never mind all those gourmet burgers out there--this is as old-school as it comes. A good old corner bar with wood floors and a jazz jukebox--that would be nice on its own. But in the back is space for about 15 people to sit and eat big fat burgers. They're nothing fancy, but they remind you why a hamburger is ...

The best boozy Sunday brunch party in NYC! I celebrated my birthday here and had the best time ever. You'll want to make reservations far in advance as everyone comes in large groups and try to make them for after 1pm, because... The place transforms from a bright and airy fancy brunch spot into a nightclub in the Meatpacking at ...

They have seafood of every color, model, and make. They have sushi being made, they have chowders and soups. They have shrimps and fishes being prepped on ice. Whatever you want they got it... except for more table space to eat your new found treasures. That's why in these instances I get chowder so I can eat while I walk. ...

I came to the rooftop for an event a few weeks ago and was seriously underwhelmed, after all the hype over Catch (although I've heard the rooftop isn't as great as the restaurant). The appetizers were average & the cocktails were fine, but nothing that blew me away. I don't think I'll be rushing back to Catch!

Excellent place for brunch for the folks who still feel the adrenaline rush from the night before. Paradou brings some of the Ibiza morning/early afternoon party culture to their restaurant during brunch in the form of DJ house music and bottomless mimosas. The menu features a nice selection of brunch favorites with a twist. Try to make reservations or at ...

The famed boozy brunch party! While the brunch food and drinks were delicious, the party portion of the afternoon seemed a bit tamer than Beaumarchais. The space is beautiful but I wanted to see more people dancing on top of tables!
