If you are looking for a great place to bike, jog or walk, this is it ... 25 minutes jog each way. Good place to walk the dog and it seems like everyone in Halifax is out for a stroll on weekends

Good park within the city. Good place to walk your dog or go for a run. Don't swim at the beach, water is very polluted!

Learned the hard way (sore feet), that a Park = forrest.
I really enjoyed my very long walk here. For the historian there are several points of interest, the Martello Tower is a must see. But just walking round the peninsula is a nice day-break.
I actually walked to the park from Halifax Harbour and back again. I would not recommend this, but it is possible.
Wear sensible shoes, and if you have the time, go here with a packed lunch and plenty of fluids!

Point Pleasant Park is the home of Shakespeare by the Sea, the troupe that for 18 seasons has been performing in the forest for locals and tourists alike. There are many roads and trails in the park and it is very popular with dog walkers and also offers a Cultural Walking Tour to those interested. This popular park has some of the best views of the Atlantic Ocean and has become a haven for those wishing to meet the sea.
