Finding an empty spot to sit that doesn't have someone else's trash there can be a bit challenging, but the fries here are divine. Actually, it's not the fries that are divine, though they are VERY good, it's the dips. I never thought I would want to eat mayonnaise with french fries until I tried it at this place. They have mayonnaise dips of all different flavors. My friend and I sampled 3 different types - roasted garlic mayo, smoky eggplant mayo and pesto mayo. Smoky eggplant was the best - it was like a creamy babaganoush with my fries. What the place lacks in ambience it makes up for in flavor, which of course, is the most important thing:-)

A "restaurant" that only sells fries and dipping sauces. It's like it was made specifically for me. Try the mango chutney sauce. Best ever. There's hardly ever room to sit in there, so plan to walk and eat. A small is plenty for one person. A regular is enough for 2 or more.

Who would have thought fries could be SO GOOD. Fries or pomme frites are the only thing this restaurant makes but they make them so well. There is a huge variety of dipping sauces to choose from. If there's a line out the door - don't be intimidated - it's well worth it. Seating inside is extremely limited so be prepared to stand on the sidewalk digging in.

Fried carbs. What can go wrong????? Ok, the heart attack I know. But really folks sometimes ya just gotta and this IS a good choice! I just like these with plain ol' ketchup thank you very much.
For me any friends? The small is plenty for 4 people! I want to know who's buying the large?????? It IS too much of a good thing! lol!

I love fries, and this place does them right - crispy outside, fluffy inside, many options for dipping sauces. I got the truffle fries - truffle oil, truffle salt, a salty crispy delicious experience. Not really places to sit around, but it's not really about the ambience here, it's just a pick up and go place.

Crispy, greasy, with spicy vinegary sauce in contrast. Pommes Frites was the capper to many of my nights in the East Village. They'd sometimes deliver to our bar...or was that Taco Loco?

It was January 2, 2009. Sarah and Corey still recovering from December 31, 2008 and plastic cups filled to the brim with Jameson courtesy of our Friend P2.
Sarah didn't want any fries. Corey was all about it. ALL ABOUT IT.
Popped a squat at the teeny bar in back. Snuggled up to my honey and shared some fries. Told some stories about dirty chip shops in London.
Shit, now I want to go to London.
