Greatest walled town in Tuscany. Founded by the Etruscans, it came into its own in the medieval period and has the best preserved Renaissance era city walls in Italy. . if you're 'doing Tuscany', this a must-see and is easily accessible by train or car. Also cheaper and less hectic than Florence as a base.

    Rosignano Marittimo

This beach is mostly just for Italians, so if you want a more local experience that's an added perk.
