Porcão is a churrascaria (barbecue restaurant) patronised by meat-loving Cariocas. This is as typical as Brazilian eating gets, since it's the everyday food of the south. Both Porcão restaurants are huge, lively and busy with waiters circling the room with grilled meat skewered on swords.

A MEAT LOVERS MUST... If you are not familiar with a churrascarias then this is the one to try the views are great and the food is devine. The food is brought to you until you can take no more. You get a little card with a pig on in that is green on one side and red on the other - the red side means you are full, green means bring it on!
Make sure you take your time as they bring the lesser cuts out first so you need to tell them which number cuts you want. You can tell this by the other card they give you which has a cow with each cut numbered on it.
The golden rule is don't fill up on the buffet or sides, the buffet is and looks amazing but it is there to distract from the real prize.
