Port Denarau was close to home prices but had great restaurants and a few good shops for souvenirs. The restaurants were very accommodating considering we had over 30 people in our group and we didn't need to book once. This is also the gateway to the surrounding islands with day trips and ferries leaving constantly from here. There is also a selection of fishing charters and adventure charters available that you can book and leave from here!

There are a couple nice restaurants here, but also a grip of average ones. A lot of tourist shopping, and a upscale supermarket. This is where the ferries leave from for the yasawas, so you will probably spend some time here. Not the place to buy souvenirs unless its the only place in the country you go.

You basically leave from here to go from any of the outlying islands and day trips. It's clean and efficient as a port.

I'm not a big fan of Denaru island as they cut down a mangrove forest to make the island and build condos.
