This area was built up and designed for the 1992 summer Olympics held in Barcelona. There is some interesting architecture and a large selection of restaurants. Nice place to grab a bit to eat and walk along the boardwalk by the sea. Make sure to check the prices though before choosing a place to dine, some of the restaurants here are very expensive.

It's at 10 minuts walking. You can find a lot of restaurants and bars.
My favourite is El cangrejo loco: 25€ the menu, fresh fish well cooked.

This is a touristy shopping pier that seems to have been created back when the Olympics were held in the city. The views of the harbor and looking back up the hills at the whole of the city are definitely worth the long stroll to the end of the shopping pier and back. Its a great after dinner adventure, or romantic stroll at sunset.

Great place to take a stroll along the boardwalk. You'll see a lot of boats in the port, and if you're hungry, there are restaurants there to eat at too!

Nice area to stroll along; views of boats, the park, Christopher Columbus monument nearby, the port, restaurants, and lots of energetic people. You'll catch a glimpse of fancy boats docked nearby. You can pay a small fee and hop on one of the pirate looking boats for fun.

Description

Originally built for the maritime events of the 1992 Olympics, this attractive esplanade is a seaside urban oasis. Unique sculptures, including Frank Ghery’s golden fish sculpture; Piex, populate the area and give it added character. This is also a great place to find upscale restaurants and trendy bars.
