    Jupiter Hotel

    Jupiter Hotel

    Class:
    10 reviews
Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

Love the concept of a mid-century remodeled motor inn. The rates are affordable and competitive to some of the more run down 2 star hotels in the area. The walls are thin and the biggest complaint is the noise. When you check in ask for the quieter area of the hotel. Just know that you will still hear hall noise ...

    RiverPlace Hotel, A Kimpton Hotel

    RiverPlace Hotel, A Kimpton Hotel

    Class:
    7 reviews
Excellent! - 94% of guests recommend

In what I consider the exact perfection location in Portland (right on the water in a beautiful, relatively quiet setting but just a few minutes' walk from downtown) is this Kimpton Hotel. Well designed and with a fantastic restaurant (with a view as good as its locally sourced food), it's got it all.

    Hotel Modera

    Hotel Modera

    Class:
    7 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

Fantastic luxury boutique hotel situated very conveniently to public transport and has chef David Machado's 3rd restaurant right on site. Between inspired French and Italian cuisine, luxurious pillow top beds, and beautiful art, Hotel Modera is definitely a hotel I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting the city of roses (aka Portland)

Hotel Vintage Plaza - a Kimpton Hotel

Hotel Vintage Plaza - a Kimpton Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

Hotel Vintage in downtown Portland is truly a beautiful place. I was told that it's a 100 year old building and because of this none of the rooms are exactly the same, which gives it an older unique vintage charm--with modern comforts of course. The location is great being essentially in the heart of downtown Portland and very close walking ...

Very clean and comfortable with a good view out to the West Hills of Portland. What you'd expect from a Hilton in the heart of a city. Great central location for exploring Portland via foot.

    Doubletree Hotel Portland

    Doubletree Hotel Portland

    Class:
    8 reviews
Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

The first time I ever visited the Doubletree, I was accompanying a friend to one of those get-rich-quick house-flipping intros, where they try to get you to sign up for an expensive seminar. It was so stuffy (literally), and I remember joking that the organizers (or the hotel) had somehow limited the oxygen in their conference rooms in order to ...

    Embassy Suites Hotel Portland Downtown

    Embassy Suites Hotel Portland Downtown

    Class:
    7 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

Embassy Suites, part of the Hilton Group, took over the old charm of the historic Multnomah Hotel about 10 years ago and converted into a tastefully updated hotel while retaining the key elements of years past. The Multnomah Hotel, built and opened in 1912, is on the National Registry of Historical Places. Its two story lobby, with marbled based pillars ...

    Georgian House Bed and Breakfast

    Georgian House Bed and Breakfast

    3 reviews

A few blocks from Freemont Street and the Max light rail (which provides free access to downtown Portland from the Lloyd Center stop), this 1922 house is one of Portland’s most inviting, personable, B&Bs. The owner here is absolutely lovely and warm, and it’s no surprise that this four-room B&B gets plenty of return guests. The living room here is ...

Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station

Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station

    Class:
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

$116.93 (Inclusive) That what 2 nights at the Aloft (via Hotwire) cost me recently. I suppose my son and I could have stayed closer to the Downtown action, but with TriMet and at this price, we did just fine. My son particularly enjoyed the pool, the pool table, and the modern Mac Lobby computers. For me the bed was comfortable, ...

    Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown-Convention Center

    Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown-Convention Center

    Class:
    5 reviews
Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

Nice and clean hotel located near the Portland Convention Center. The hotel offers a free shuttle ride to and from the airport. You just need to call concierge to arrange it. I called them as soon as my flight landed in the evening and the shuttle arrived in about 15-20 minutes. Nice experience so far here.

Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

    4 reviews

This gorgeous bed and breakfast was built at the turn of the 20th century as the family home of a wealthy German brewery owner. It was later converted into a boarding house and, then, a B&B, although it still maintains much of its original period elegance. In fact, if you have a thing for Edwardian design, you probably won’t want ...

    Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

    Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Fair - 71% of guests recommend

The PDX Sheraton is one of my favorite Portland airport area hotels. It's large enough to accommodate conferences (which it often does), but well-staffed enough that you don't feel like you are lost in a sea of dazed travelers (which often happens in properties of this size). It has a couple hundred rooms and a handful of suites, and as ...

Best Western Inn At The Meadows Hotel

Best Western Inn At The Meadows Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

I'm not super into big chain hotels in bland, semi-industrial parts of town, but if I were, I'd absolutely adore this place. I reckon most people who stay here do so because of its close proximity to the Oregon Convention Center, and it's certainly one of the better options in that area. The rooms are spacious and quiet, the WiFi ...

Residence Inn Portland Downtown / RiverPlace, a Marriott Hotel

Residence Inn Portland Downtown / RiverPlace, a Marriott Hotel

    Class:
    5 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

In the heart of Portland's characterless "South Waterfront" development project, the Residence Inn is a good place to base yourself if you want easy access to downtown Portland or the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). There’s a streetcar that runs right near the hotel and its walking-distance to an aerial tram that links South Waterfront with OHSU. And while the ...

I returned to Portland last Friday to attend my Son's Parent-Teacher Conference. I decided to make a weekend of it and spend it with the Kid. I'm all about value and usually find that the Hotels in the Cascade Station area offer the best combination of comfort and value. Plus, there's so much of Portland that's easily accessible by road ...

    Econo Lodge Portland City Center

    Econo Lodge Portland City Center

    Class:

Good! - 79% of guests recommend

This downtown motel is by far the best deal in the city center, and the friendly management are an added bonus. The whole place has been remodeled recently, and the rooms are kept in immaculate shape. All are equipped with irons and ironing boards and there’s a coin-operated laundry facility on site. Wi-Fi is free and they serve a complimentary ...

The Paramount is located right in the middle of Portland. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and take pains to remember names and preferences. The Dragonfish Restaurant in the hotel is a good place for a meal, or a business meeting.

While this is not my favorite of the three downtown Marriots I've visited in Portland (that honor--if you want to call it that--goes to the waterfront location), I do think this little Marriott is a good value and in an amazing location. It's on the corner of Washington and Broadway streets, which is pretty close to the dead center of ...
