Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

    4 reviews

This gorgeous bed and breakfast was built at the turn of the 20th century as the family home of a wealthy German brewery owner. It was later converted into a boarding house and, then, a B&B, although it still maintains much of its original period elegance. In fact, if you have a thing for Edwardian design, you probably won’t want ...

One of Portland’s oldest and best-known hotels, the Governor is smack in the middle of downtown (it doesn’t get more central than this). They have 24-hour room service, free Wi-Fi, plenty of banquet and meeting space. There’s also a Starbucks onsite, as well as one of Portland’s best-known restaurants: Jake’s Grill. This historic hotel has large, cheery rooms done up ...

Wonderful little gem in the city center of Portland. A close walk to everything downtown has to offer and has great views of the beautiful architecture from the corner rooms. The rooms were clean and modern with very fresh decor and lots of natural light (9th floor corner room--right off the elevator). *Bonus: Free Wifi!* The Original (attached restaurant) was ...

I liked this place, and I liked the people who work here. It is near a huge new development of chain stores called Cascade Station and isn't really set up for walking or running, but you can get to downtown or other parts of Portland quickly with or with out a car. It's modern and comfortable and each room has ...

When “Old Hollywood” romanced modern decor they had a lovechild and named it the Paramount Hotel. A friendly concierge greeted me and we were instant friends. We talked, en route to see a room, about favorite travel spots and just as he starts to explain how Japan is calm amidst ‘all that darn chaos’; I entered. The rooms are what ...

We stayed here for a friend's wedding in June 2012 and it was pleasant, centrally located, quiet and had a nice continental breakfast. It was a little pricey but we did visit on a weekend, so perhaps the weekdays are a little less expensive. Overall, we were happy with the accommodations and would possibly return in the future.
