    Rogue Distillery and Public House

1339 Northwest Flanders Street, Portland, OR
    7 reviews

I vaguely remember some sort of Rogue beer place in Ashland years ago in a building by the creek that now houses an Indian Restaurant. Since that time, I have purchased the occasional Rogue 6-pack and admit a preference for their Dead Guy Ale (sort of a Mai Bock). There is also a Rogue Ales Public House in San Francisco, ...

Entertaining the children at the restaurant. At least they don't run around the restaurant when they are busy coloring.

    Bunk Sandwiches

211 SW 6th Ave, Portland, Or
    4 reviews

Co-chefs Tommy Habetz and Nick Wood change their blackboard menu daily, but know to keep favorites like this pork belly cubano in regular rotation. Their version of the Cuban workman’s lunch is improved by swapping out roast pork for house-cured, molasses-rubbed pork belly, slow roasted until fork tender. Ham, Tillamook Swiss, and pickles round out this pressed sandwich on a ...

    Paley's Place

    1204 Nw 21st Ave, Portland, OR 97209
    4 reviews

Outstanding restaurant in NW Portland, a charming converted house with several cozy rooms. Pacific Northwest regional cuisine crafted by chef Vitaly Paley is inventive without getting too far out there for my taste. Best dish on the menu, judging by name alone: "Humptulips River Coho." (Yes, there is a real place in Washington called Humptulips.)

Good food, good beer. One of the early pioneers of the American craft beer revolution... I remember going to these brew pubs back in the 90's, before great American beer really took off. Total laid back atmosphere, super friendly service, funky venues... not surprising how successful they have become. Love this place.

Great food - more types of pancakes than you can imagine. I'm a fan of the apple pancake, but the dutch baby is really popular.

The seven-year-old izakaya-esque Biwa may offer only a single ramen, but given the obsessive research chef John Moch put into it, it’s a must order: thin noodles, a lone egg, and chashu pork, floating in a rich bowl of a pork-and-chicken broth that takes 18 hours to create. Seasonal variations include a crab ramen in winter and ethically sourced duck ...

    Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub

    112 Sw 2nd Ave, Portland, OR 97204

A stand out bar in PDX. Great live music, great beers on tap and a cozy dining area as well as a lively bar. St. Patty day doesn't disappoint either with their own massive tent and festival!

**BEST BRUNCH DEAL IN PORTLAND** I dedicate my 600th review to the Beast. Why? Bc it was OMFG good, that's why. The Beast stole my culinary heart in Portland. We made reservations for Sunday brunch at noon. We were seated upon arrival and I ordered a cup of Stumptown french-pressed Joe. No menu substitutions. I like that French attitude. Take ...

    Pearl Bakery

102 Northwest 9th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209, United States
    4 reviews

This Pearl District institution (est. 1997) has been a training ground for many of Portland’s new artisan bakers and remains on top of its game thanks to family involvement, ingredients sourced weekly from a farmers’ market, and commitment to quality control. The smell of fresh-baked baguettes wafts through the light-filled bakery, and the pastry case teems with chocolate chunk cookies, ...

    Piazza Italia

1129 Northwest Johnson Street, Portland, OR
    4 reviews

Never heard a bad word about Piazza Italia (my wife's favorite PDX restaurant) - arguably the best Italian food in Portland. Location is great, service has been really good, and the atmosphere is top notch. Live music last time my wife and I were there. Only word of advice: Make reservations. Not a place you want to just drop by, ...

I really like this place for lunch. I think they have a great menu for lunch, and the choices are wide-ranging. They do dinner here too, but the menu doesn't appeal to me as much as the lunch one does. Service is usually very good here.

    Junior's Cafe

1742 Southeast 12th Avenue, Portland, OR
    4 reviews

This small, quirky brunch joint is a Southeast classic, with indie-retro decor and a menu full of fresh ingredients. Though great for vegans and vegetarians - with items like vegan french toast and vegetarian potato and vegetable scrambles - I've never heard a carnivore complain about a meal here. There are always delicious specials, but I love the basics - ...

Delicious, massive burritos that you can (and should) get smothered in your selection of sauce. A little pricey (~$10 for a burrito) for a cheap college student like myself but totally worth it every once and a while.

    Hot Lips Pizza

    Portland, Oregon, USA
    4 reviews

Hot Lips is among Portland's best pizza joints, and they have locations all around the city. They serve pizza pies and pizza by the slice, breadsticks, focaccia, salads, and a decent selection of microbrews. They also make their own fruit-based soda pop, which is sometimes available on tap. There are usually a couple of vegetarian options and a vegan option, ...

Unfortunately we didn't make it in time to get any prime rib beef ribs but we did have everything else.
