Basically you standard bar but with a southern flair! The menu is all southern home cooking. I'd recommend coming between 2 and 6 for the happy hour menu. Try a couple of catfish sliders for just $3, quite a substantial portion for the price. Or perhaps you might like $1 oyster shooters with in house made cocktail sauce with a ...

This is a bit of a dive bar but they have great good. The fried menu items are crispy and never greasy. The sliders are delicious. Nice place to grab a bite to eat while shopping on 23rd.

    Bushwhacker Cider

    2 reviews

Bushwhacker Cider lies off of a little side street in Southeast Portland after you cross the Ross Island Bridge. It's a bar that serves all things related to cider, whether it's pear cider, apple cider, etc. I personally recommend getting the pear cider.

    Devils Point

    2 reviews

One of the things Portland is famous for besides beer and bad weather are it's strip clubs. I don't have much experience with strip clubs to draw from but even I can tell that there is something different and special about the clubs in Portland. I was really impressed with Devil's Point! The girls here were not what you might ...

Great new addition to the Hawthorne area of Portland, Oregon. It's a somewhat smaller restaurant and bar but the service was great and the food delicious. I sampled the veggie sandwich on spelt bread with sweet potato fries paired with a crisp hard cider. Perfect combination both filling and flavorful! This little place is definitely worth checking out.

    Dig A Pony

    1 review

This is a typical "hipster" bar, but the doormen are nice and most of the staff avoid the cooler-than-thou attitude that can be off-putting to some visitors to Portland. The drinks are usually pretty good and sometimes they have DJs, although I've yet to see anyone actually dance there. Most of the people that frequent this place are in their ...

    Shanghai Tunnel

    1 review

This is a cool dive bar that has a huge basement area. There are several pinball machines to play on if you like that sort of entertainment. They have an interesting cocktail and food menu. I've heard the food was really good, but a little pricey so you might want to check out happy hour times. I had some kind ...

Good place to try some local brews and eat some good food. I recommend the mussel frites. The service was great here. I hope to return to try other entrees. Everything on the menu sounded so tasty.

I dined in the bar portion later in the evening after the restaurant had closed. They had a simple menu with some yummy choices. I had the manicotti which was quite nice and served in a baking dish with plenty of sauce and cheese. The bartender who waited on us was incredibly nice. They serve you good bread with oil ...

    Bar of the Gods

    1 review

I have a hard time evaluating BOG. It's certainly a place for locals and regulars to hang out and I especially covet the narrow back patio area when you can score one of the few wooden booths against the wall. But it doesn't stand out other than it's a great place to walk to and get a drink, especially at ...

    Jolly Roger Restaurant

    1 review

An unpretentious dive bar and restaurant based in the southeast of Portland, Jolly Roger is meant to serve people living in the local neighborhood. I would recommend trying their fish tacos during happy hour. You'll get two big and delicious servings of tacos and chips at a great price.

    Star Bar

    1 review

This review is more of a curiosity in regards to another bar that existed in the same space. Though I have never been to Star Bar, I will most likely visit it at some point and give a proper review. In the meantime, I'd like to talk about Maiden in the Mist, then Maiden, then I think it went away. ...

    Mount Tabor Theater

    1 review

CLOSED - Now reconfigured into a purely music venue, the Alhambra Theater, the Mount Tabor feels like the amusement park that's been neglected and fallen into disrepair, much like Santa's Village on Highway 17 in California was for a long time before it finally expired. A strange combination of performance venue, bar, and movie theater, its existence was purely fueled ...

Can't believe this hipster coke hole hasn't been given a location, even on Google Maps. Maybe they want to keep it that way, like a Kokie's. You know when you listen to Weeknd through shitty speakers in the back seat of a filthy Honda, keeping your feet off the ground, hovering it over cans and bags of fast food while ...
