Portland City Grill

111 Sw 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97204
14 reviews

The reason to go here is the view. Great happy hour. Drinks were so-so. Piano bar. Piano player did a medley of Steve Miller and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." Really great view. Ok to take kids (particularly over the age of 8).

    Portland Saturday Market

0.22 mi from Portland City Grill
    39 reviews

A longtime Portland institution, the Saturday Market (also ope on Sundays) is great place to pick up one-of-a-kind handcrafted items from local artists. Here you'll find everything from paintings of nature scenes to hand-stitched hoodies, as well as soaps, jewelry, and tie-dyed everything. Don't forget to sample the "elephant ears," fried flatbread dusted with cinnamon and sugar.

    Bailey's Taproom

0.1 mi from Portland City Grill
    8 reviews

Bailey's has a wide variety of beers. It's a popular place to go to if you're a beer connoisseur. The vibe is filled with ambiance but on Fridays and on the weekends, it can get crowded and noisy. Santeria is across the street and sells tacos and burritos, so if you want beer and burritos, you can sit at Bailey's ...

It was a drizzly Sunday afternoon in the Rose City. I had just said goodbye to my son after a nice weekend together, met my ex-wife's partner, and was looking forward to the evening when I would return home and to Gayle. Taking all this in together, I was feeling a little "Gaga", complete with a personal vision of "Bad ...

I like city hall quite a bit. It feels like a cozy building and dosen't overwhelm you at all. It also is in a nice part of the city. I may not like the mayor though : (

The Roseland has been around for as long as I can remember, and I've been to everything from reggae shows to raves here. A lot of fairly big acts come through here and the acoustics are excellent. It's one of the first places you'll want to check out for live music listings if you're coming to town; tickets for most ...

After wandering through Cameron's Books, it was only natural for my son and I to move onwards to the nearby Portland Outdoor Stores. Both businesses have been around for a long time, are a little tattered at the edges, but in many ways are stronger than yesterday. The ground floor has an extensive selection of Filson, Bendleton, Carhart, boots and ...

Coffee shop, computer cafe and performance venue with tons of space! This place always seems to be buzzing. I haven't been to one of there events but during the day it appears to be a good place to work or have a meeting because the space is so large there are usually seating options even when they are busy.

The men! The myth! The LEGEND! With the possible (cheesy!) exception of the Australian Thunder from Down Under in Las Vegas, Silverado has got to be the most famous male strip club in the country. Portland has a sense of humor about strip clubs, and with good reason: the city is full of them! And unlike some of the stuffier ...

This is my Son's neighborhood park and at 90+ acres, it's relatively huge. It has plenty of space to walk around in it's nicely wooded expanse, and has the other stuff that folks like including a baseball field, basketball court, tennis, picnic areas, and an off-leash area for Fido.
