This is a fun boutique hotel that is located in Little Italy. The rooms are basic but clean, and there are few amenities. Having said that, it was a great place to spend a night when traveling between locations. We walked to restaurants from here, as well as the waterfront. A short Uber or taxi ride to Gaslamp District and other nightlife destinations.

A nice boutique hotel with great service and located in the Heart of Little Italy. a short drive from the airport and the gaslamp quarter, really a perfect place to stay if you're visiting and hoping to visit the local sights or nightlife.Recommended for:

It is great hotel, very clean.
We stayed there twice. I like it because it is in little Italy near great restaurants.
The only annoying thing is that the parking is a valet and sometimes you need to wait to get your car. But it is ok :) well on the other hand, you don't have to look for a parking and you know that your car is safe.

What was once a Super 8 Motel is now a boutique hotel named Porto Vista. The theme here is hip Europe in the 1950’s or 1960’s; think photos of boys on Vespas and girls with elaborate hairdos. The rooftop deck is quite lovely and has a great view of the San Diego Bay, Point Loma, and some battleships. And there’s an award winning restaurant called the Glass Door that has a similar view. Besides the roof deck and the restaurant though, there’s not much in the way of common space. There’s also no pool which is kinda a drag. That being said, the service was good , the staff was very nice and the roof deck was a cool place to be at nighttime.
