    Summary:
I've heard about this place from a few people, but hadn't had a chance to try it out till recently. A couple blocks north of the Glendale Galleria on Brand Blvd, I had heard this bakery cafe gets very packed, but I had no idea it would get THIS packed! Stepping into this bakery, one might think was Macy's during Christmas.

Foodwise, this one of the most popular bakeries in Los Angeles, this place does not disappoint. Pastries, cakes, tarts, mousses, you name-- they got it. Lunch menu was also very pleasent consisting of various sandwhiches. Some suggestions would include their cuban sandwhich, pastrami sandwhich, and their potato balls. They're menu is pretty good in general-- fit for a light lunch that..well, leaves you some room for a delectable dessert!

There is not much more I can say, my tummy can only take so much desert at once-- I'll definitely have to make more frequent visits to try the rest of their dessert line!

    Tips:
Like I mentioned earlier, this bakery gets VERY busy.. so give yourself a little time and patience.. or plan on visiting less busy times (ie, noon or breakfast) to minimize wait time. However, don't let that discourage you from visitng Porto's-- It's definitely worth it!

Their sandwiches are okay but their potato/cheesy balls are awesome. So crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle; it melts in your mouth!

Best place in LA to get desserts for family gatherings. The cheese rolls are scrumptious and now they have cheese roll bites so you don't feel so guilty!

Excellent cuban bakery, the potato balls are great. I also had the cuban sandwich lots of beef and pork served on a french roll. The empanadas were very good. Next time I would love to try the desserts or pastries.

My favorite cuban bakery! There is always a long line so plan accordingly. They also have food and coffee.

My favorite is the guava pastry! To die for!

My favorite item here is their mango mousse- not too sweet, very tangy mango flavor. The fruit tart is also very good. Wasn't crazy about their creme brulee- a little too sweet for my taste.

I'm surprised to see that I have not reviewed Porto's. I have been going to Porto's for many years. I have been to all their locations (Glendale, Burbank, and Downey). They are all consistently good. Everything from their Sandwiches to their pastries are delicious. I love their Pastrami Sandwich, Potato Balls, Cheese Rolls, etc. Honestly there are too many things to name!

They even have yummy cakes. One of my favorites is their Milk and Berries cake. It is super moist (soaked in milk) served with fresh berries. It's basically a tres leches cake with fresh fruit.

Lines can get busy and parking can be a little difficult, but its all worth it! Porto's is a great place for a cheap lunch or some delicious sweets!

You know when the cake line in this place wraps around 2x, it's a great dessert place. The fruit tarts are one of the best. You can't go wrong with any of the cakes or small pastries, pretty much everything is good.

    Things to try:
    - Fruit Tart
    - Red Velvet Cake
    - Guava and Cream Cheese Pastry
    - Dulce De Leche Cake
    - Opera Cake
    - German Chocolate Cake
