Portree is a port and cultural centre on the Isle of Skye. Portree is Skye's main town and a popular destination for visitors. It has a swimming pool, pony-trekking, boat cruises and plenty of shops. It is particularly good for locally produced arts and crafts. The Aros Centre offers theatre, concerts and films as well as an exhibition capturing Skye's dramatic history and an aerial view of Skye's incredible landscapes.
The town is good for exploring the rest of the island.

The biggest town of the beautifull skye island. It's a good start for visiting the island and this stunning land, green, without any tree, full of wild rivers and volcanic moutain.
The town is very lovely, and colorfull. You can find good and original craft on shops. Restaurant are uselly full in summer.

My favorite place in Northern Scotland is the Isle of Skye (Portree is the 'capital' with just a few thousand people). There's this cool lunar-like landscape, ridiculously beautiful coastline and Highland 'hairy' cows that are the cutest things you have ever seen.
