I want to give this place the best review possible since so many of my friends have gushed about it. I'm actually writing this review from my room since we feel alienated from the rest of the greatness this hotel may have to offer. We made the unfortunate decision to book this night's stay on Memorial day. Which to my surprise is only as busy as it is here since there is some sort of bartenders convention. Information I would have loved before reserving our room. For the first time in my life I wished that I was at HoJo (next door). We can hear frat boys screaming and banging in all the surrounding rooms as I speak. Probably uncontrollable by any number of staff responses so I won't even bother.
On a lighter note, the staff has been nothing but courteous. I called down to confirm the wifi code and the gentleman was in good spirits. The girls who checked us in where polite and got us in an hour early which was great. We planned on trying the restaurant connected to the hotel, but have made other dining arrangements as this place is elbow to elbow every where you walk. Including the beach. We used Hojo's cabanas (with all of the other old-ish farts.) The bartenders were SWAMPED! I applaud them and the pool side server. They all remained cool calm and collected as hundreds of these kids shouted at them. Although it took 20 minutes to get 2 drinks and 20 more just to close the tab. Not their fault though. The bar back broke up a fight between two young guys. And he politely asked them to leave.
All in all, I will probably give this place another try if I get the time off. I really want to genuinely experience everything the PCI has to offer. I unfortunately am unable to for this visit due to the crowd.

This place has a really cool vibe to it. You definitely get a '50's beach hotel' feel from the place. Our room was comfortable, our meal at the restaurant was good and the place is right on the beach which was awesome. If you stay here, I'd recommend getting a room facing the pool/garden, which is what we had when we stayed here. It's far more interesting than a room facing outward toward the parking lot.
