This is my home in San Francisco. It is quite nice, quiet and residential, a bit too quiet for my taste, but it has its charm. We have a great view of the skyline of the city, which means it is a little bit of a way from the downtown. However, it is really close to SOMA and Mission and borders Dog Patch. 18th street is the main commercial area where there are a number of good restaurants and some of them even draw people from other neighborhoods over, like Chez Papa, Chez Mama and Plow. There are a lot of furniture and home decor stores and we have our own Whole Foods and that is saying something about the neighborhood. Did I mention it is always sunny here!? Now that is something very special. It is also a great spot for those working in South Bay, because the Caltrain stations are near by. Overall, it is a great spot to base yourself in the city.
