Pousada Bonita is almost unmissable due to it's bright pink wall about one minutes walk away from Ipanema Metro station.
The catchphrase of the hostel is "close to everything, but you might just want to stay in" and this is quite believable when you see the large swimming pool, games room with pool & snooker table, large chill out area and hostel bar. The reception staff are friendly and knowledgable about the local area and have a list of activities and parties available every night including a Monday night boat party which is always full and has a growing reputation across the city.
The hostel has a good wee location on Barao da Torre and is only around a ten minute walk away from Ipanema beach and with the metro in such close proximity it is perfect to travel around the city. With prices starting at around 60 Brasilian Reals it is at the higher price range but definitely worth the extra and well worth a visit.

Former home to the legendary Tom Jobim in the mid 20th Century, the Pousada Bonita features colorful furnishings set on guestrooms with ceramic tiles and hardwood floors along with balconies. The lounge space with its comfortable sofas, flat screen TV, and a set of computers is the center of attraction in the house. Though, the pool and hammocks hanging on the ‘varanda’ are perfect spots for unwinding on a hot summer day. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
