It is the largest square in Italy andh one of the largest in Europe. The square has a green island at the center surrounded by a small channel bordered with two rings of statues. Prato della Valle is very crowded during summer, expecially around sunset. People come here to rest on the grass or playing guitar and singing. There are some bars and restaurants around. I was used to come here for jogging. Also skating is a common practice. Every second sunday of the month there is an antiquities market. Every saturday there is the market of flowers. Sometimes there are also open air concerts, due to the large room of this area. In the north east corner there is the beautiful Santa Giustina church, while on the other side, you could thke that street that after 5 minutes walking arrives at the Basilica of Sant'Antonio.
