- Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & SpaFirst to ReviewNov 02, 2013
The Presidente Intercontinental oozes wealth. Sleek and sophisticated, it’s considered one of the best hotels on the island. And there’s no doubt about it—the rooms are high end, with all the modern amenities you’d expect, gorgeous views of the Caribbean, and unparalleled service. The grounds are made to match—lush, well-kempt, with towering palms and framboyan trees. Alfredo di Roma, a well-known Italian restaurant, is housed here as well (I’ve never eaten here but it gets rave reviews from expats.) The only blemish, unfortunately, is the ironshore on parts of the beach. There’s not much the Intercontinental can do about it—this part of the island has a lot of it--but the hotel has done its best to maintain the sand levels and has added ladders to create entry points to the water where the ironshore is especially prevalent.

My best experience in Cozumel Island and on a Hotel, thanks to Presidente InterContinental's crew.
First, we arrived from the airport and we were recived with cold water and towels. On our room a basket full of fresh fruit awaited us. The beach, 13 and a half steps from our room, offered us wonderful sights and views. The SPA relaxed me to the max. The hotels's crew served is delicious food at any time any place with a big great smile. The Scuba Team, which is right besides the beautiful blue water beach, taught us and showed us astonishing things from under the sea.
I will give anything to go back again!

There’s just no other hotel in Cozumel that matches the Presidente Intercontinental for luxury and style. The rooms are gorgeous: marble counters, earth tones with flashed of orange and gold, flat screen TVs, and the kind of beds you never want to get out of. Like most hotels on the island, the Presidente doesn’t have a “real” beach, but the sand-filled shoreline, with lounge chairs and oversized canvas umbrellas, and ladders and platforms to get into the water, is plenty relaxing. The pool is decent sized and surrounded by loungers; the lack of any kids' area at the pool lets you know this hotel is mainly geared for honeymooners and get-away travelers (and recently the President of Mexico, so I was told). It’s a big hotel, all on one floor, with open-air corridors that seem to go on forever. The Italian restaurant is considered one of the best on the island, though I wasn’t blown away, especially for the prices. It’s one hiccup in an otherwise terrific hotel-resort.Recommended for
