This is one of our favorite places to eat. Start with the Crab meat Cheesecake, followed by Catfish Pecan Menieur, the trio of soups (soup of the day, Gumbo and Turtle soup) and finish it off with Bananas Foster. Owned by Dickie Brennan and Steve Petus - great friends and wonderful people. A must for New Orleans.Popular withFoodiesLocalLuxury

The brunch at Luke is spectacular. Eggs in a jar, simple enough in name, sometimes feature an entire fried soft shell crab creeping out of a clear glass dish layered with eggs and grits. The pancakes are perfect and there's always something on the menu for kids. One of the best reasons to come is for the oyster happy hour. ...Popular withFoodiesLuxuryBusiness

Jess and I went there for a civilized lunch during an otherwise uncivilized weekend. THey have a lunch prix fix special. We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing. The service was warm and welcoming. We really loved it and would go back next time we're in town.

Our waiter referred to the Bon Ton Cafe's offerings as Country Cajun. That probably means different things to different people. But the first thing I noticed was plenty of tempting selection that wasn't deep fried. I ordered Bayou Jambalaya for an appetizer and Eggplant, Shrimp And Crabmeat Etouffee for the main course and both were drop dead delicious. That went ...Popular withLocalFoodiesHistory

Daisy Dukes is the Denny's of Bourbon Street being a 24 hours joint. When I found myself here at 2am, there wasn't many people there but it was a happy and inviting joint non-the-less. This place will go in history as the spot where I taught my girlfriend how to eat crawfish....whether she remembers or not.....we are on Bourbon afterall. ...Popular withLocal

The food is slightly overpriced, but an average fit for the downtown area. Try to avoid the lunch rush between noon and 1pm. Bathrooms are clean and located in the back. Enjoy the salsa bar and free refills. On Wednesday they do Margarita deals at the bar.

Small hole in the wall breakfast and lunch spot in the French Quarter. Affordable and delicious. The staff is very friendly and the cooks are amazing. They also had veggie options which is hard to find the Quarter sometimes.Popular withFamiliesLocalFoodies

A nice little gastropub located in the French quarter that appeals to craft beer lovers. Specializing in fresh, local ingredients for their interesting looking food dishes. Offering over 60 regional beers, many on tap, most from the Gulf States. Relaxed and civilized feeling compared to a lot of bars nearby.Popular withTrendsters

Dive bar with a bunch of TVs. They even serve a bacon bloody mary that seemed to be very popular. They have greasy bar food that I avoided, but their Gumbo was very very good.Popular withBusinessTrendstersLocal

When you walk into Evelyn’s Place the first thing you notice are the walls, which are covered with memorabilia and odd gadgets. The second thing you notice is the lack of lighting, which can be a bit daunting for those looking a more touristy, fancy spot. I felt like I was at a bar for the locals to stop by ...

Laid back, local vibe. Come here to discuss all things related to college sports or to sample some wonderful seafood gumbo, shrimp po'boys, or their famous muffulettas served on or with some really delicious bread. Sort of bland space, unless there is an LSU game on TV, but the friendly banter helped soften the lack of atmosphere.Popular withLocalStudents

With 1010 rooms, a behemonth lobby, and a $44 million renovation underway, the Sheraton on Canal Street is a Big Cheese in the world of New Orleans hotels. As soon as you walk into the sprawling lobby and see the cocktail lounge in the middle, a lovely scent wafts your way, and stays with you throughout your visit. It’s all ...
