In this Gardens, you will see so many beautiful flowers and trees. When you stand here, you feel like a prince or princess playing and running in the gardens.

Public Gardens next to the main street, cut in two by the mound. I liked the floral clock which is similar to one I discovered in Niagara in Canada.

The gardens have a few stunning sections of flowers and succulents. The rest is more roaming park grasses with a few trees. It's a nice place for a stroll.

This former moat is now a lovely park that lies between Old and New town. A great place to stroll and it opens up right into the National Gallery as well.

Princes Street Garden is has Waverly Station and the National Gallery of Scotland on either side of it and the Scott Monument in one corner. It's a nice little park with several monuments to see.

The Princes Street Gardens are a lovely bit of green in the center of Edinburgh sitting between Old Town and New Town. At one end is the Waverley train station, at the other, is the National Gallery of Scotland. You can't help but see the Gardens while in Edinburgh but take a few moments to enjoy them.

Little haven in the middle of the city, great place to sit and collect your thoughts, or take a bit of lunch to eat.

There are two sides to the gardens, on the east side the gardens are dominated by the Scot Monument and on the west side Edinburgh Castle. Separated by the mound, a road leading from Princes Street to the Royal Mile (or Edinburgh's High Street) and sporting the two main art galaries in Edinburgh. Once in the gardens you can be forgiven for forgetting you are in the heart of a city.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city or take a break from shopping on Edinburgh's premier shopping street. The gardens are directly opposite the shops!

Description

The Princes Street Gardens is a popular meeting area for many locals in the Edinburgh area. If you are visiting it for the first time, you are in for a treat as there are many different statues and monuments that you can look at as you wander between the different gardens. Concerts are often played here since there are over 37 acres of land. If you visit the Gardens during the weeks leading up to Christmas, you can experience their version of Winter Wonderland. Amusement park rides are available for people of all ages, and the Christmas Market sells international foods and gifts.
