Produce Row Cafe is one my favorite new places to go to in Portland. It's not dingy and filled with hipsters playing indie music. Nor is it douche-y and catering to obnoxious drunkards who think they're too cool for school. The venue is really posh and nice. The crowd is a mix of the young and yuppy looking to have a good time. The DJ there was playing legitimate '90s hip hop music (Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, etc.). Overall, it's a great place to chill and eat till 2 am! If you want to eat, try the waffle dessert sandwich, chicken and waffles (fried in kettle chips!), and the oxtail stroganoff.Recommended for:

Yet another after work location hang out, this place is essentially no different from any typical microbrewery in Portland. It's got an outdoor patio (which is now covered) with an area for a small band or DJ, a rotating series of microbrews, slightly elevated bar food, and...nothing else really excites me about the place except that it is in the industrial area of East Willamette and it was probably 8th on the list of after work places to go. There used to be a club right across Oak in one of the warehouses about 6 or 7 years ago, so it was the perfect place to get boozed up before going back in, but since that time, nothing that memorable except to bide time before the next, more interesting bar.
