This beautiful carousel is placed outdoors enclosed by a glass room. What is so amazing about this spectacle is that it is right by the Brooklyn Bridge.. It is gorgeous sight. It is still operating as well.

    Galapagos Art Space

    4 reviews

Nice club / lounge space that hosts special events (and a lot of wedding parties). Check the website for event listings. No real reason to visit unless something is on. Has a small bar and cabaret-like seating. The floating banquettes give it a whimsical feel. Better at night than during the day.

    Dumbo Arts Festival

    0.05 mi from P.S. Bookshop
    4 reviews

One of the best times to visit DUMBO. The architecture in the neighborhood lends itself nicely to large art installations. A nice place to get in touch with your creative side while enjoying the backdrop of Manhattan. A mix of large projection installations, smaller performances, and special exhibits. Definitely worthwhile to look at a program to see what is on ...

    St. Ann's Warehouse

    0.13 mi from P.S. Bookshop
    2 reviews

Exceptional local theater. Despite being off-off Broadway, St. Anne’s Warehouse is best-in-class and can hold it’s own against anything across the East River. The venue is modern (i.e., with comfortable seating), intimate, and reasonably priced. A good place to splurge for the “expensive” seats. They won't cost a lot and you'll get a great show. Keep an eye on the ...

One of NY's best photo spots. With the right camera, you'll actually capture the Empire State Building through the arch of the Manhattan Bridge. Stunning. The best place for a photo is Washington and Water.

really make you feel like you left the city for a bit. If you want to eat their local food ... great. But make sure to check the reviews on Yelp first ... And if you're looking for cheap and nice souvenirs, jewlerie or counterfeits, it's the place to go.

Incredible things are happening all around the Brooklyn waterfront. This is a large park that goes right up to the water, featuring well designed walkways, incredible views, a few open greens and a couple interesting sculptures. I highly recommend taking a look around.

    Brooklyn Heights Promenade

    0.65 mi from P.S. Bookshop
    22 reviews

I think Brooklyn Heights Promenade beats out Central Park. The promenade is much easier to get to and then navigate. Food trucks abound (beyond the overpriced pretzel or hotdog). New developments include ball fields, playgrounds, and gardens. You're sure to see a few wedding parties haven their photos taken with the Manhattan skyline and East River in the background.

An underground haven filled with tequila, quality Mexican food (by NYC standards), and eclectic jams, this restaurant and bar located in Chinatown is hard not to fall in love with. This is certainly not your typical New York museum. You have to be prepared to see actual human bodies up close, cleverly preserved and presented for educational reasons. A controversial world-famous exhibit, present not only in New York City, but in Las Vegas, NV and Atlanta, GA, it allows visitors to learn about the human body, at a whole new ...
