We arrived at 12am, as it was walking distance from my girlfriends place so it did take slightly longer to get out the apartment.

sadly when we arrived we only had 40 minutes until last call, so we ordered as much as we could and place it by the dart table. So yes, you hear right darts, we were competing playing darts until we just sat their and chatted till the lights turned on!
It was pretty cool that their napkin looked like school notebook paper, and the menu for drinks were like school books.

def. a neat place to check out!

I am a sucker for bars with fun themes. Their menu looks like notebooks and their napkins looks like note paper.

Wasn't expecting their cocktails to be so tasty :)

    COCKTAILS
    - Kinda Blue: Cruzan Rum, chartreuse, blueberry, peach bitters and lime
    - Summer Lovin': Boodle's Gin, St. Germain, agave, lemon and mint
I need to come back and try their other drinks.

    FOOD
    - Lamb burger looks better than it tastes. Nothing special.
    - Mushroom pizza was amazing. Each bite had a strong taste of mushrooms and the order was big enough to share with two people!
    - Fries with siriracha sauce (tastes like regular fries, nothing unique about them).

We got lucky with street parking on a Friday night. I was surprised it wasnt super crowded like people on yelp mentioned.

Tip: Sunday happy hour all day!
Highlight of my day: their cocktails

Made a stop here after shopping at skidazzle. Its a cool place to hang out and eat with friends. The whole theme is a “school classroom”. Even their menus look like school composition journals. Definitely try their burgers: the pub and the lamb burger is amazing. Order a side of brown bag fries and they have a great beer selection. What’s really cool is they have darts and a foosball table near the back and you can borrow their board games to play!

Had drinks here with some friends and thought it was a really cute casual gastropub. I like how the food is simple, but has a fun twist.

Super crowded, but it's a great spot for happy hour!

Parking is the not-so-fun part, but once you get in, you'll forget all about the parking headache.

They offer different apps and food ranging from $2-6 and beer, well drinks, and wine at a discounted price from 4-7.

Love that they kept the theme of "public school" with their menus and decor, as well as the dart boards! :)

Very cute concept~ Composition book menu, ruler napkin wrap, waitresses in pigtails and bartenders in nerdy framed glasses... but the food was just a-OK and overpriced if you asked me.

Wasn't too happy when I checked my bank account the next day and noticed that I was charged 2x :( BUT when I wrote them an email, they took care of it right away. It was just human error and it happens, so I am thankful that they fixed it without giving me any problems :D

I wouldn't say that I would go out of my way to come back again, but I would probably come back here when it's convenient for me and try their burger. My friends said the burger was very delicious.

I actually liked this spot more when it was part of the daily grill, since the food was cheaper and it was less crowded. now, they almost need more space. other than that though, it's a pretty chill, non-pretentious spot. the theme to this place is as the name says a school. menus are in the form of composition books and i believe there are chalk boards on the wall. perfect place to drink beer and play darts. The hamburger (forgot the name of it) at Public School is excellent -- thick burger patty, juicy, comparable to some of the more famous hamburger joints.
