    A bridge that is best viewed from the riverbank. Because of the shops lining the bridge it feels as though you are travelling along a normal street

    I was there shortly after the Queen's Jubilee and there was a ton of activity going on. Lots of kayaks and canoes on the river. Great atmosphere. Didn't get a chance to check out the shops though.

    Don't quote me on this, but I believe this is the only bridge int he world with storefronts on both sides. It overlooks a weir (as you can see in the pic) and is super photogenic at sunset.

Description

Pulteney Bridge is a shoppers’ bridge, as it’s one of only four bridges in the world with shops along both sides. Built around 1770, it was constructed for landowner Frances Pulteney, who retained the shops despite numerous protests that they were an impediment to traffic.
