    Dolphin Explorer

    14 reviews

I'd never swam with dolphins, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was worried it'd seem like a zoo, and they'd be stuck in small unhappy enclosures. But, man, I'd love to be a dolphin here. I can't even begin to describe how fun this is. First, the location is beyond gorgeous -- white-sand beaches, swaying palm trees, the ...

    Playa del Macao

    13 reviews

Playa Macao is a beautiful, classic Caribbean beach just north of Punta Cana/Bavaro. It's the best--and closest--surfing spot to Punta Cana with a bunch of fast and hollow waves from both beach and reef-point breaks. Watching the surfers and just chilling out on the beach also is a popular sport--the only downer is that ATV tour groups occasionally come tearing ...

It's also a great place to book a parasailing (or fishing or snorkeling) trip--vendors walk the beach offering tours though there also are store fronts offering the same in tiny ...

    Sky Lounge

    1 review

After getting through one never-ending line at the ticket counter, you'll need a drink before joining another never-ending line to board your flight at Punta Cana's airport. The Sky Lounge, in a corner of the food court, is the only place to get one. It was surprisingly empty.
