Pyramide du Louvre

I love the interesting juxtaposition between the historic architecture of the surround Louvre Palace and this modern, glass pyramid. It's remarkable how well-integrated this contemporary structure feels. It looks beautiful when lit up at night too!

Don't miss it. Even on a cloudy day, it is a beautiful park full of sculptures and lovely fountains. Close to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde and other attractions, you are sure to pass by, so go ahead and do as Parisians do: sit by the shade or on one of those famous and popular green chairs and see ...

Colette is considered by the hipsters and fashionistas a temple of all things cool in Paris, however, it's not really all they say. It's a small store with a couple of great designers and some new ones, some design objects and books and nothing else.

Le quai des Tuilleries is the perfect, most romantic and inspiring spot for a walk on the planet. Along the banks of the Seine river you see many major landmarks of Paris, like the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, the Conciergerie, the Notre Dame, the Tour Eiffel, etc. Just take your time, look into the details on each bridge and fall in ...

To find this boutique, just look for the bubbles being blown into the street. Owned by one of France's most famous noses, this delightful little shop has a nice selection of his eponymous fragrance label. Still relatively undiscovered but treasured by those in the know. Francis is responsible for developing fragrances for many of the largest prestige brands.

La Comedie Francaise was founded my infamous play-write Moliere. It has since become one of the most popular theaters in Paris, performing many famous plays with some modern twists. I saw Moliere's L'Avare here and it was such a treat. The theater itself is beautiful and the cast of actors are some of the best Paris has to offer.

Great idea for first time visitors. Take a hop-on hop-off bus tour and find your bearings. You can get off at the attractions which are further away from the centre, and save the more easily walked sights for later in your trip.

Starting from the Louvre, seeing the Arc de Triomphe in the distance, may appear as an easy walk, but it really really isn't. You will only, and only ever want to do it once as it is such a long drag and can take up much of your time in Paris, which isn't great if you only have a day, ...

Rodin's sculptures are breathtakingly alive. While "The Thinker" is the big attraction here, don't pass too quickly over the rest of this genius's work-the marble truly suggests movement. Make sure you check the opening hours before you go. And go into the garden while you're there.
