    Old Montreal

    96 reviews

Besides France, Vieux-Montréal is one of the best places to go to witness French culture and historic architecture. It's a great neighborhood to walk around on a nice day, browse through multiple shoppes, and eat at restaurant inside one of the historic buildings.

    Notre-Dame Basilica

Absolutely beautiful. A wonder to the eyes, the soul. Can't appreciate enough the detail in the artwork, the use of such bright and beautiful colors. It's one of those places where the second you walk in and look up, you stop, stare and can just manage to say "Wow"

    Mount Royal Park

    58 reviews

The park is a great area of greenery in the middle of a big city and is much used by runners and those just out for a stroll among the trees. The park is basically the hill or mount and a walk or run to the top provides a nice view of the city below.

    Montreal Biodome

A novel use for an Olympic venue (formerly the velodrome) but not one that was probably imagined. Found some of the exhibits more interesting than others.

My favorite spot in Montreal. This is a popular tourist spot, but lots of locals also relaxes here. There is always endless things to do and see. Vieux-Québec

So European and so lovely. Walking around the old city is like stepping across the Atlantic - the architecture and feel of a place devoted the the finer things in life including beautiful architecture, fine wines and white linen draped tables with wonderful meals. The liveliness, color and sounds of the artisans on the cobblestones is pure delight. Loved the ...

    Underground City (RÉSO)

    32 reviews

I found this pretty interesting as I have come across nothing like it in Europe and set myself a fun (to me) challenge. How far could I travel from my hotel before I had to surface. Managed to get a fair way across the city centre.

    Olympic Stadium

    34 reviews

I can imagine that this must have been rather amazing when it was first built for the 1976 Olympics. The leaning tower is still interesting to see though I am not sure it's really a must see sight if you are only in town for a short time.

    Bell Centre

Home of the Montreal Canadiens Hockey team and many big concerts that come to town. Feel free to grab a drink at the attached buildings before heading in; the beer commands a pretty premium here.

    The Plateau

    15 reviews

A neighborhood that's worth visiting if you are from out of town. Many many options for restaurants and bars, with St-Laurent, St-Denis, Mont-Royal streets being the main places to hang around. It is easy to get around as buses and the metro will take you there. Full of little hole in the walls waiting to be discovered.

    Montmorency Falls

    15 reviews

At 275 feet high and 150 feet wide, Montmorency Falls are the highest in Quebec. The Montmorency River drops off of a cliff here, and creates one of the most dramatic photos ops in the area. In addition to seeing the falls through the mist near the bottom, climb up to walk across the bridge and watch the cascade roar ...
