Having sampled a variety of Ethiopian restaurants in the Northwest and especially D.C., I can say I've got a modest understanding of the food. As a daring meat eater, I've even had Kit Fo (basically raw hamburger hot spiced to hell so you forget you're eating RAW HAMBURGER) a couple of times and have survived. I've been to this restaurant with various friends both vegetarian and carnivores and each time it's been tasty. I fear a lot of people nowadays with their rampant phobia of germs are unwilling to partake in a group experience of eating with their hands, but it's definitely an adventurous and bonding moment. With reasonable group platters that serve about 8 people for $60-$80, there's plenty of spongy injera bread and samples to go around for most to feel satisfied, especially if you've with a mix of different eaters. It's definitely a memorable place to go before a show at the Wonder Ballroom which is right around the corner.Recommended for:
