Odd teacups and little wee tables, this is a truely charming cafe. Serving breakfast, lunch and sweet treats it is often tricky to find seat, but it is well worth the wait. In particular the Red Onion, Potato, Cheddar Cheese & Rosemary Tart and the Plum Tart are fantastic!

Queen of Tarts actually has two locations, one on Cow's Lane and one on Dame Street. I only ate at the Dame Street location which is much smaller and I found more intimate.
Queen of Tarts is not just an amazing bakery, but also a place to get a cup of tea (in real china like you would get at Grandma's!) and a sandwich. But I have to say the four times I ate there in four days, it was all for the baked goods. The chocolate cake while qualifying as the most expensive piece of chocolate cake in my life was amazing and so rich it ended up being my lunch that day. The lemon meringue tart is soooo good that I was sad I had it on my last day in Dublin. The highlight though is the scones. Oh those scones! So light and fluffy and absolutely delicious! More than once I saw customers around me finish one scone and then sheepishly order another.
I found the staff cheery and quick and the atmosphere fun and cozy. Highly recommend!Recommended for:Foodies
