I would say this is a good hotel in a very central location. Walkable to many of the sites in Rome. We only used transportation to get to Vatican City due to time constraint. The room was nice and comfortable. We had a junior suite for a family of 4. Kids had what appeared to be rollaway beds, but comfortable enough. Adults had singles pushed together for a king(ish) Plenty of space for sitting and moving. A separate study area with wardrobe for hanging clothes. I do not give it a higher rating are three reasons. One, our room faced a busy street. Although nice to watch the streets play out in Rome, it was very noisy. A bar across the street had a musician 2 nights, which added to the noise. Two, the hotel advertises wireless service, but it is very poor. There is free wireless in the lobby area, and password wireless in the rooms. I struggled with connecting to either consistently over 6 days. Three, the thermostat did not seem to work. The room was often too warm although we set the thermostat back. This may have been user error, not sure. I had seen several reviews that the staff was not friendly or rude. I did not find this to be the case. Although some were more helpful than others, everyone was generally courteous and friendly. I would certainly stay and recommend this hotel for a 2/3 night stay, especially if your room faces the courtyard. The location was just very central and convenient. For a longer stay I would search for a hotel with more reliable services, possibly a larger worldwide chain.Recommended for:Family Travelers

There is two things about this hotel, one good and one bad. The good, the hotel is beautiful with classic decor and great location. The bad, service was terrible, slow, cold and not personal. Overall the experience was ruined because of the terrible service provided.

The hotel is beautiful and classy, too bad service is actually poor and most of the staff is rude. We entered the hotel with our backpacks and I guess they are not very use to this type of customer, so they were pretty indifferent and even annoying.
The positive side is that the hotel is in a great location, so don't get discouraged by the rude staff and go explore Rome from this central location. Breakfast is ok, nothing too special.
