The main feature of this hotel is the central, vertical aquarium that is a huge part of the main atrium. The service is good, if a little full of themselves, and the location is excellent, just moments from Alexanderplatz and right on the river Spree, just across from museum island. The rooms, however, are just normal, and the experience isn't something to write home about, despite the cost. Also, to get into the vertical aquarium, you have to go through the full aquarium next door, and pay extra, even if you are a guest, although you do get a guest discount. It's a good hotel, but there are also other more fantastic ones in the area.

Berlin has many unique hotels full of a distinct character. In my mind, the Radisson Blu is not one of them, but it does offer very comfortable rooms, a central location and friendly and efficient service. It's within walking distance to all of Berlin's biggest attractions, such as Museum Island, the DDR Museum, and the Bundestag. It's ideal for family travelers in town for just a few days. I also enjoyed resting my feet by the giant aquarium.

Posh hotel across from Marx-Engel-Forum and the Berliner Dom, on the banks of the Spree. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a high-end hotel (including the price). If you're not staying there, you should still drop in during you walk through the area (which is inevitable for most - if not all - visitors to Berlin), because you'll get a chance to see the gigantic 25 metre high aquarium in the lobby. Grab a drink from the bar if you fancy it, and enjoy while the fish swim above you.

This is a cool, very centrally located hotel - right in Mitte. You can walk out your door to most of the cool museums, the cathedral, and only a short cab ride or a long-ish walk to the Bradenberg Gate. The centerpiece of the lobby is an enormous aquarium - people like to have coffee and watch the divers clean the sides. The rooms are neat and comfortable, if lacking in personality. Good restaurants nearby.

This little section of central Berlin is so beautiful and full of attractions it's hard to believe you can end up staying in the middle of it all. But that's what you get with Radisson Blu and with the largest cylindrical aquarium in the world right there in the lobby the sights don't stop outside. Breakfast is a little expensive, so my advice is to grab a coffee and enjoy watching the scuba divers cleaning the fish tank in the morning and then head out and eat. You're so central with the Radisson that there are enough alternatives to choose from anyway.
The design of the hotel is modern and unique and makes a nice contrast to the historic stretch of Berlin where it is located. It's also very busy there, so it's great to get away and retreat to the Radisson spa for a soak and a hot foot bath. If you're visiting in summer, step out of the hotel to the river bank and book a Spree cruise, it was one of the best things I did in Berlin
My tip is to try and get a Business Class room on the side facing West, the view of the cathedral and the river boats beneath is spectacular.

Well you cannot really go wrong with this hotel. Centrally located, with just a 2-3 minute walk to Alexanderplatz, Radisson Blue is the right place to go to if you are looking to get an insight into Berlin's museums and cultural offerings while being able to do so mostly on foot. West facing rooms have a great view of the Berlin Dome and it's magnificent waking up to such a sight. The rooms are well equipped, clean and most importantly they are quiet, although the main road passes right by the entrance. Another highlight of the hotel is for sure the gigantic cylindrical aquarium in the lobby area that stretches from the first floor up to the top.
