Downtown Phoenix is growing into a destination city. Home to the Phx Suns and Arizona Diamondback stadiums, there are bars and restaurants of all styles popping up everywhere. From classy lounges to sports bars, when visiting, you won’t be left with nothing to do. There are also some nice accommodations allowing couples, families and business travelers a variety of options. My experiences with Radissons are good ones. It’s not your typical roadside chain hotel. It’s much more lavish and thoughtfully designed. Amenities are classic and the airport location offers some cool packages that make your stay easy breezy. One includes a rental car, while another offers evening entertainment. The pool on property has a landscape reminding you that you are in desert while in the city. This hotel is ideal for a corporate meeting destination because, while it’s not too pricy, its sleek design and modern technology guarantee success.Recommended for:

The Radisson is a man's man hotel. When I walked in I felt I was in a scotch lodge about to discuss how I wrestled down a grizzly bear only using my hands. The rooms have a similar feel. I really like the bar style dresser with the tv separating the desk and the bed. I could work at the desk, watch Sportscenter, and walk all the way to the bed with out taking my eyes off the screen; pretty cool eh? This is a great spot if you're doing business and need to be by the airport. I enjoyed the pool, it was clean and had some decor; unlike most business hotels that have the blandest pool you could only appreciate after wondering around the desert 7 days without any food or water.Recommended for:

The Radisson Phoenix Airport is another of the hotels along 44th St that cater to the jetsetting crowd, and one of the better properties in the area. Walking into the lobby I was struck by its modern feel: decorated in chrome, hardwood floors in the dining area and chainlink curtains are all in line with a hotel recently renovated.
They even have a touchscreen virtual “concierge” with maps of the local area and recommendations for restaurants and attractions to visit in the area.
However, first impressions can be deceiving. Although the lobby has a fresh coat of paint, the hallways on the upper floors had yet to be renovated, although remodeling is underway (as evidenced by the two men hammering away at the carpet right next to the elevator.) Hotels are primarily judged by their aesthetic quality, and I understand renovations take time, but if you're looking to stay in the immediate future keep that in mind. The rooms themselves have been remodeled, however.
All in all, a nice enough place to stay if you're traveling for business, just mind the dust.Recommended for:
