- Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens
The Radisson is a mid-range hotel that is elevated by its great location and friendly staff. It’s directly across the street from the Flagstaff Gardens (which are not necessarily a tourist destination on their own, but offer a great place for a nice jog) and only a few minutes from Melbourne Central Train Station. Also right up the road is the Victoria Market, which is undeniably one of Melbourne’s biggest and best attractions. The hotel is currently in the process of renovating and updating all its bathrooms, though there was no construction going on when I was there and in fact I thought the bathrooms were already pretty good as they were and in matching with the style of the rooms. There’s a small sundeck, gym and pool on one of the upper floors overlooking the gardens.Recommended for:

With its gorgeous views of the Flagstaff Gardens and Melbourne city’s skyline, the Radisson is a great mid range hotel for those that want a five star location at four star prices. Located in the slightly quieter Eastern corner of the CBD, the Radisson is an easy gateway to the more understated areas of Melbourne, like the famous Queen Victoria markets. The rooms are decent – fairly spacious with very soft, comfy beds. During my stay I was informed that the hotel was undergoing a renovation of all their already wonderful bathrooms. The restaurant has great food, though the beer at the bar was a little flat. With a great sundeck by the pool and gym, the Radisson is a serene and enjoyable four-star stay.

Calling for people who love to bargin shop! This is the hotel for you because the Queen Victoria Market is next door & there is a lot of things to see and buy and eat! it's also in the city, so you can walk to places.
The hotel is nice and quiet! There is a pool at the top but it's indoor. If you are a "Green" person and love to save the earth than this is the hotel for you! They have an hour glass with sand stuck on the wall of the shower so that you can take a short shower. The toilets have a half flush or a full flush (actually, I think Australia in general has this) & bio cups.
If you want to use the hotel phone to call the US, it's complicated and cost a lot. The front desk wasn't very helpful with this cause it didn't involve the hotel. You have to call a self automated machine to call the US from the room phone and give them your credit card information up front so you really don't know how much you are going to be charged. When I got home and saw my credit card statement, I got charged $70 for 10 minutes of talking. So I suggest that you email, text, etc... instead!
Overall, I would stay here again!
