I stayed here for about a week during a professional conference. Our room was very nice with the LCD screen and Sleep Number Bed. The bathroom was a bit small and the temperature control was inconsistent. The staff really nice, friendly, and accomodating. The restaurant/bar was a very nice suprise with great drinks and delicious and reasonably priced food.

The Warwick was once one of Philly's grand hotels, but it is definitely starting to show its age a bit. The lobby has recently been restored and is truly beautiful, with polished marble floors and chandeliers. Stepping out of the elevator to go to your room is a bit of a shock, though, as the hallways seem very dated, with old dingy carpet and poor lighting.
Fortunately, the rooms are nice - they were nicely renovated a few years ago. The beds are big and comfy, the desk is big and broad, and it has a flat screen TV. The entire hotel is equipped with free wi-fi, and does not require an annoying passcode, which I loved. The bathrooms were done with granite countertops and some decent shampoos.
My biggest complaint about the hotel is that there were *no blackout curtains* - only the translucent white ones that let the sunlight in - so sleeping in was an impossibility. I have never seen this in a hotel before, and still cannot fathom what they were thinking.
The location of the hotel is great - very central - just one block off Rittenhouse Square and one block from the main shopping street on Walnut. A solid option, if not one you will miss when you go.

Although there is a lot of history here, I got the overall sense that it was just that, history. This hotel has seen grander days. The location is absolutely amazing, in the heart of downtown. But with newer or at least more newly renovated fine hotels all around this area, the location alone doesn't make up for an "OK" overall experience. A man cannot live on Sleep Number beds alone! I've now had several bad impressions at Radisson properties and am beginning to wonder if it's the company, because in this case the problem is definitely not the property itself.Recommended for:History Buffs
