Ecuador's prime spot for river rafting is located in the small Amazonian city of Tena, at the foothills of the Andes. The main river in this area is the Napo, but a number of other tributaries feed into it, offering a range of rafting experiences for every skill level. Make your way from Quito down to Tena via bus, plane or car (it's a 8-12 hour drive down the Andean slope). There are several rafting outfitters in the outskirts of town, and as it's not a big place, most locals can point you in the right direction.
