The inside of this hotel is just as much fun as the bold colours on the outside. Ramada Maingate is a unique property with a retro, 60s feel to it. The inside is like something out of Epcot, decorated like a little village. All of this surrounds a heated indoor pool, two features that are very rare for Florida hotels. Everything about it feels generous, with extras of everything in the rooms and big all-you-can-eat buffets open three times a day. This would be a really cool place to have a family reunion or return with the kids year after year.Recommended for:

Is this hotel dated? very much so. Does it provide you a decent bed and amenities super cheap when staying in the Disney area? You bet it does!
Yes this place definitely still has a look from the 60's and 70's, but you're in tourist trap Disney area... what do you really expect? This is one of the cheapest hotels in the entire area, and does just fine at being what it is. A hotel, not a resort. If you're looking for resort style and quality, then stay on the Disney property.
The beds were comfortable, there was a mini fridge, and a nice big tv, and plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Oh and tons of pillows! :) The pool is in a courtyard type lobby as well as the hot tub and a bar. There is also a restaurant towards the back of said courtyard. The front lobby also has a kitschy touristy shop for random nick-knacks. The front desk staff was super awesome and even faxed a form I needed to have back in Cincinnati that weekend for me. There is a computer and printer in the lobby, but I'm pretty sure it still uses dial up... Like I said... it's dated.
But honestly if you're in this area staying at a cheap hotel... you're really only using it to sleep in, so theres really nothing to complain about.
**TIP: The parking fills up quick up front, but there is plenty of parking near the side entrances. Also, good luck turning left out of the parking lot.... you're better off going right and making a U-turn.

This hotel, located in a big, bright blue building with a bright red roof, is one that cannot be missed, because of its looks and offerings. From the outside it looks promising, and from the inside it definitely is. The lobby is big, and smells of chlorine, but that is because of the hotel's indoor pool, a rarity in Central Florida. Surrounding it are a plethora of guest attractions, which include a hotel bar, a restaurant with an all-you-can-eat buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with differing items for those meals, of course, and a game room. The game room is impressive as well, as unlike most game rooms, it is not just a small room with a bunch of arcade, but offers air hockey and pool tables as well. There is another pool table by the indoor pool, and there is also an outdoor pool for sunny days. The hotel bar offers drink specials daily, so it is definitely worth checking out. I would stay here.Recommended for:
