I haven't stayed here personally but some of my out-of-town work colleagues needed a place to stay near my old office so I took on the responsibility of checking the hotel out for them. It's a fairly old hotel but the rooms were still clean and you're really paying (which isn't that much) for convenience of location. It's located in a fairly safe neighborhood with a lot of restaurant options, a Trader Joe's close by and a big night life.

Since it was my first time in this neck of the woods, location was a must when choosing a hotel. This place did the trick for my one night stay in WeHo. It was located only a few minutes away from the event I had to attend, plus it had stores and restaurants all within walking distance. I've never paid as much for parking as I have here, but at least in and out privileges and the option to self park or use valet were given. The room had functioning windows, not something you see often at most hotels. I kept them opened a crack the whole time during my stay to save from using the A/C. Didn't have too much interaction with the employees at the Front Desk other than check-in and check-out. Overall, not bad.

I have stayed in a handful of hotels in LA/West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and this one is by far the TOP choice for me.
1) easy access parking - safe too - always has spots even late at night
2) Rooms are updated and modern
3) next to a starbucks!
4) In the heart of W.Hollywood close to everything
5) Has a pool (I never get to use it but I like knowing it's there if I actually had time away from work)
6) Staff is efficient and helpful
Honestly, this was a refreshing hotel to stay at in the crazy area of LA . . . actually felt rested even after long work trips!

It's not surprising that this hotel won design awards. The color scheme of earth tones with burnt orange accents is popular among many hotels but here it feels distinctive, bold and stylish - from the lobby to the rooms, the business area to the pool with a large patio and seating with pleasing views of the hillside. In the heart of the Valley, the Galleria mall is a couple blocks away with lots of dining and shopping options and cinemas, plus attractions like The Getty Center are nearby. Free WiFi, coffee and laundry are great -- and there are not many choices of hotels in the area and they really aren't necessary. Overall, it's a moderately priced hotel with a classy attitude and warm service.

The Ramada Plaza Hotel is in the heart of West Hollywood, which is a real "happening" place.
However, it's hard to find the entrance to the hotel, which seems to be by car only - not very friendly to walking in from the street.
The lobby and front desk is very dated looking - almost an old 1970's disco - but the room did not have a dated feel at all - kind of standard for a Ramada.
It's the location and to soak in the local color you would choose to stay here.
There is much night life near by and fun shops all in walking distance.
The newly opened Kitchen 24 located outside of the Ramada, and owned by them is a get place to see and be seen at.
Staff was very friendly and very helpful.
The Ramada Plaza is a great choice for the young single traveler.
