The Ramada is one of those airport hotels that I don't really think of as an airport hotel, simply because it's located off the main drag, away from where you'll find most of the airport hotels (and the shops and restaurants that serve them). That said, it's certainly not a bad place to stay the night, especially if you have an early morning flight and want a free ride on the airport shuttle. It's a bit dark and dreary, which is not to everyone's liking (but then again, so is Portland on most days). The rooms are clean and quiet and all come equipped with microwaves. There's also an on site restaurant, an outdoor pool, an exercise room, and conference facilities. Throw in an extra $20/night and your pet can stay with you (so long as he or she weighs less than 20 pounds). Children stay free.

Located on NE 82nd relatively near the airport, the Ramada is a hotel for the business and moderate budget traveler. It has the overall appearance of a moderately priced cheaper motel that may have been a good quality motel in an earlier era!
The rooms are pleasant enough, clean, with the usual amenities including wifi, refrigerator, and microwave. The hallways have that old dark seventies look to them. Some of the rooms have been renovated and there are plans to renovate further. There is an outside swimming pool, fitness, spa facilities, and restaurant.
The public restrooms are dirty and do require some daily maintenance!
Like the Red Lion at the Airport, also on NE 82nd, the Ramada looks a bit dated and worn. For those staying in the Portland area, this hotel could be used as an affordable base. It is within easy reach of Portland Airport and, from there, the Portland light rail system (Max).
So a perfectly pleasant hotel if you are on a budget as a tourist or business traveler!
