The FolSoMa area desperately needed another cool bar to act as a counterbalance to Bloodhound. Raven is two floors of hip bar magic. A good happy hour and disco balls make it a fun experience. There's also plenty of space to rock to some smooth 80s jams.

My friends and I ate dinner then grabbed a cab to come here. No carding at the door and there weren't that many people inside. There's the bar in front, tables and booths in the middle and a private room with a bar in back. There was a birthday party here tonight...
I unlocked a 50% off deal on Foursquare, thanks to Scoutmob. Can be used on 1 drink up to $10.
The Lychee Bliss was awesome!
There's TV screens by the area with booths/tables. The DJ was playing old school hip hop...like Will Smith, Fat Joe, Aaliyah...

Came here several months ago for an event. It is a cool place, narrow in width, but long in length, and more than one story in height. There are cool little corners you can collect your group, and as I recall, there were 3 bars, 2 on the ground floor, and one on the next floor up.
TheDJ beats were bumpin and thumpin, just up my ally as far as sounds, but can't say they have a lot of space to cut a rug with your best moves. Some flatscreens here and there with music videos mirroring the beats.
Lotsa creative drink mixes for the ladies and the dudes that like to experiment. Me, I stick to what I know, thank you.
This places has a cool vibe, chill and relaxed, SOMA neighborhood. Perfect for those Techsters who grew up with "That's So Raven" on Disney, and even OK for their older siblings.
Their parents? If they saw the original The Raven movie with Vincent Price, that is too old for this Raven. But if they were Ravin when it first started back in the 80's, they may still like this Raven. But don't bet on it.
I Caw it like I see it!

Awesome new bar in SoMa that took over the old Club 8 space. There's a great vibe about the place and the staff is really friendly. I know a lot of my friends who live in the neighborhood are happy to have this as a new place to hang out, especially when Bloodhound next door is too busy that it's hard to get a drink.
I love that there are two levels to lounge in and three separate bar areas, so you can move around if you want a change of scenery. The space is perfect for private parties, as it's both spacious yet can be intimate at the same time, especially if you just reserve the upstairs area.
There's a VDJ there on certain nights and he plays fun music that takes me back to the days when MTV actually played music videos. Wow, I'm old.
